Q3 Bingo Board Reflection: July, August & September

Three months. Six bingo boards. A whole lot of life happening in between. 🎯

I always enjoy looking back at my bingo boards at the end of a quarter because they give me a chance to see the bigger picture. Some months are packed with accomplishments, some are intentionally slower, and some end up looking completely different than I expected when I created the board. July, August, and September definitely gave me a little bit of all three.

☀️ July: Making the Most of Where I Was

My July personal bingo board was honestly pretty incredible.

I knew going into the month that I had a lot happening. I was spending time in Minnesota with family, traveling, and trying to balance the things I wanted to accomplish with the reality of where my time and energy needed to go.

I read a lot, which was one of my favorite parts of the month. I also created my own little Minnesota bucket list so I could make the most of being back after several months away. There was plenty of relaxing, too, whether that meant books, watching movies or catching episodes of a show, or enjoying other things I wanted to do. There were also plenty of celebrations along the way.

My business bingo board looked a little different. I made progress on some important things, but I definitely had more stretch goals than I was able to accomplish. Traveling and being present with family was the most important part of the month, and I did not fully account for the time I would need to reset once I got home.

Even so, I stayed focused on the things I knew needed to get done. I am proud of what I accomplished, especially because it helped set me up for August.

July reminder: A slower business month can still be a productive month when you are putting your time and energy where they matter most.

🌿 August: Catching Up and Finding My Rhythm

August brought a different kind of momentum.

I spent a lot of time catching up on blog posts, which was genuinely fun. I was able to focus on one of my blog categories that I have really been enjoying and finally make some progress that I had been wanting to make for a while.

I also spent a lot of time preparing for what was coming next. Some of the work was visible, while other pieces were happening more quietly behind the scenes.

One of the biggest surprises of the month was something I had not anticipated when I created my bingo board. It ended up becoming incredibly important for my business and opened the door for me to work on things I had not originally planned to tackle.

I am especially proud of the work I did on my homepage. Being able to rethink it, make changes, and create something that better represented what I wanted my website to be felt really good.

My August personal board was intentionally built around the reality of the month. I wanted a mix of things I knew I needed to accomplish, things I wanted to enjoy, and things that would simply make the month feel like mine. There were preseason football games, movies, shows, reading, and other little pieces of life that I wanted to make sure I did not overlook.

August was not about checking every possible box. It was about making progress while still leaving room for everything else happening in my life.

🍂 September: Learning, Adapting & Looking Ahead

September has probably been one of the most interesting months of the quarter from a business perspective.

I am still waiting on some of the final numbers and results, so I cannot officially call every goal complete yet. I also know there are things I wanted to accomplish that did not happen. There are a few areas of my business that I need to reevaluate, and there are definitely some things that have been frustrating.

At the same time, I learned a lot.

I continued pushing myself to try new things, experiment, and find a better rhythm and cadence for the things I am working on. A few situations came up during the month that I had not planned for, even though I probably should have anticipated some of them. I adapted, adjusted, and still managed to get things done that were not even on my original bingo board.

Those unexpected accomplishments might actually be some of the things I am proudest of.

My September personal board followed a similar philosophy to August. I knew I would need rest and relaxation, time to clean up and organize different spaces, football, movies, shows, reading, and time to figure out what this next chapter of my life looks like.

At this point, I am surprisingly close to a full blackout on my September personal board. I probably will not get all the way there, but I am still incredibly proud of what I did accomplish.

More importantly, I am proud of the things I have initiated, the things I have continued, the things I have led, and the ways I have started thinking further ahead about what comes next.

🎯 Looking Back Before Moving Forward

When I look at these three months together, I do not see three perfect bingo boards.

I see three months where I kept adjusting to what life actually looked like.

July reminded me that I can accomplish a lot even when my plans change and my priorities shift. August gave me the opportunity to catch up, create, and build momentum. September challenged me to keep experimenting, adapt when unexpected things came up, and think more intentionally about what I want the next chapter to look like.

I did not accomplish every goal I originally put on paper. I also accomplished things that never made it onto the paper in the first place.

That is one of the reasons I love these bingo boards.

They give me structure without requiring perfection. They give me something to work toward while still leaving room for life to happen. Looking back at the last three months, I feel really proud of the progress I made, the things I learned, and the ways I continued moving forward even when the plan changed.

✨ So, What Comes Next?

Now it is time to see what the next quarter brings.

I am taking what I learned from these three months with me as I keep building, experimenting, adjusting, and figuring out what works best for this next chapter.

What was your favorite moment from the last three months?

Maybe it was a summer trip, a favorite book or movie, a special celebration, time with family, or simply a little moment that made you happy. I would love to hear about it!
