Much to be grateful for & reflect on
Somehow, some way, Thanksgiving continues to “look” different each and every year — for the last several years.
There have been a handful of moments today alone that have made me stop and think. This year is pretty different for me than even last year.
From back to back (unexpected) phone calls this morning to going for a walk and taking in nature & music to putting myself in a better position for a few areas of my life come next year, I am grateful for today.
At the top of every hour (thus far), I have spent a few minutes writing down people and things that I am grateful for. This has really helped me take a few minutes to really think and express my gratitude in what is a very eventful & tough season.
Thanksgiving always gives me the chance to reflect on the current year, previous Thanksgiving holidays & traditions, and what is to come. I get to reflect and remember so many loved ones no longer here and relish in the memories with them. It gives me a chance to be grateful for my entire support system in all areas of my life and gives me a chance to take a different perspective on how I can be a better person, overall.
This will always be a holiday that I hold close to my heart — giving me a chance to slow down, reflect, and continue to be grateful for the everyday things.
