The blog may have been quiet, but my reading certainly hasn’t been.

If you have noticed that it has been a while since I have shared a new post here, you are absolutely right. It has been almost two months since my last blog post, and while that was not necessarily the plan, life has had other plans for me lately.

I have spent the last four weeks out of state with family, which has meant adjusting to new routines, spending a lot of time with the people I love, and trying to be present for all of it.

I also had my own little Summer Bucket List — a separate list of things I wanted to do, places I wanted to go, and experiences I wanted to have while I was away. And honestly? I wanted to give myself the space to actually enjoy those things rather than constantly thinking about what I should be doing for the blog.

So, Homebase Reads slowed down.

But my reading definitely did not. 📚

If anything, this has been the summer of reading for me. I found myself wanting to curl up on the couch, grab a blanket, and keep making my way through all of the ARC books waiting on my list.

And there have been a lot of them.

So while I have not been writing about my reading as consistently as I originally planned, I have still been reading, discovering new books, adding things to my TBR, and keeping plenty of notes for what I want to share with you.

And now… Homebase Reads is waking back up.

I have already shared a few teasers about what I am working toward with Homebase Reads, and I promise I haven’t forgotten about it.

In fact, there is a lot to look forward to.

I am planning to start sharing more this month. There has been a lot thinking, planning, reading (obviously!), and letting things take shape behind the scenes.

So consider this your little “I’m still here” update. 😉

The blogging break wasn’t exactly planned, but I’m glad I gave myself the opportunity to spend this time with family, experience a few things on my bucket list, and simply enjoy where I was.

And now I’m ready to get back to sharing what I’ve been reading.
